Terms & Conditions for Idris Academy

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or any part of our services, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions in full.
  • You agree to be legally bound by all policies stated here and on other relevant academy pages.
  • You are legally able to enter into a contract or, if under the age of 18, you have the full consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Website and Platform Use
You agree to use our services responsibly and lawfully. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Respecting system integrity: You may not attempt to disable, damage, or interfere with the functionality of our website, student portal, or Discord server.
  • Using personal accounts only: Creating fake accounts or accessing someone else’s account is strictly prohibited.
  • Following all instructions and boundaries laid out by our team in classes, live sessions, and private channels.

3. Course Access & Membership Policy
When you purchase access to a course, you receive:

  • One-person, limited-time access: Your course access is for your use only. Sharing login details with others or distributing course content will lead to termination without refund.
  • Access to current content only: Your enrolment gives you access to materials within that specific course, not future or separate offerings unless explicitly stated.
  • Platform privileges: You will be granted entry to our private platforms (like Discord) for the duration of your enrolment, provided community rules are followed.

4. Mentorship and Student Conduct
Mentorship is a privilege extended to active and respectful students. This means:

  • Clear, respectful communication is expected between students and staff at all times.
  • Mentorship schedules and expectations must be adhered to. Ghosting, rudeness, or avoidance of teacher feedback will be taken seriously.
  • Ongoing support depends on your cooperation and willingness to follow advice.

5. Payments and Refund Policy
Before making a purchase, please ensure you understand the following:

  • All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or partial reimbursements once payment is made, regardless of personal circumstances or level of engagement.
  • Course pricing may change. If a course is discounted later or restructured, previous payments are not adjusted retroactively.
  • You are responsible for your decision. Reach out before enrolling if you are unsure whether a course suits your goals.
  • By purchasing, you acknowledge that you are buying access to digital content and agree that statutory cooling-off rights do not apply once access is provided.

6. Discord Community Guidelines
Our Discord server is an exclusive community space, and participation requires:

  • Kindness and professionalism: Treat fellow students and staff with respect. Harassment, inappropriate jokes, or slander will not be tolerated.
  • Appropriate boundaries: Do not share personal information publicly, and avoid unsolicited private messages.
  • Constructive contribution: Use the server to ask meaningful questions, encourage peers, and grow together.

7. Intellectual Property Protection
All academy content is original and protected under intellectual property law. This includes:

  • Course videos, PDFs, live sessions, diagrams, and checklists, which are for your use only.
  • Prohibited actions: You may not record, download, resell, reproduce, or publicly display any materials from the course.
  • Consequences: Any misuse of content may result in immediate legal and academic consequences.

8. Suspension and Termination of Access
The academy reserves the full right to suspend or permanently revoke your access to the course, live sessions, mentorship, or community platforms if any of the following occur:

  • Breach of Terms: You violate any part of these Terms & Conditions, including misconduct, disrespectful behaviour, or misuse of materials.
  • Disruption: You act in a way that negatively affects the learning environment, disrespects instructors, mentors, or fellow students, or spreads misinformation.
  • Neglect of Guidance: You repeatedly disregard teacher feedback, mentorship advice, or administrative warnings
  • Non-cooperation: You fail to communicate professionally or consistently in line with the academy’s standards.
    Please note: Any member of our administrative team reserves the right to revoke your access at their discretion, without needing to provide a reason, if they believe it is in the best interest of the academy’s standards, student community, or learning environment.
    In such cases, no refunds will be issued.

9. Limitation of Liability
While we are committed to providing the best learning experience possible, we are not responsible for:

  • Personal outcomes such as failure to memorise, academic results, or missed deadlines.
  • Interruptions outside our control, including server outages, internet failures, or third-party errors.
  • Stress or emotional reactions due to workload or time management issues.

10. Updates to Terms
We may update our Terms & Conditions at any time. When changes are made:

  • The updated terms will be posted on this page with the revised date.
  • Continued use of our website or platform will be taken as your agreement to those updated terms.

11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes arising from them, will be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal claims must be settled in the courts of England and Wales.
