Idris Academy supports students in Quran memorisation, recitation, and revision through structured learning and ongoing guidance.

Whether you are beginning your memorisation journey or returning to what you have already learnt, our aim is to help you build consistent habits and a lasting connection with the Quran.

Our Story

Idris Academy was founded by Qari Ibrahim Idris, whose own journey taught him the importance of both memorisation and consistent revision.

Ibrahim completed his memorisation of the Quran at the age of 12 in London, under the guidance of his father, a Qari who trained in Mansoura, Egypt. As Ibrahim pursued a career in professional football, his revision became less consistent, and by the age of 15 he had forgotten much of what he had memorised.

After receiving an offer for a two-year football scholarship, he chose to spend a year at boarding school rebuilding his memorisation. Alhamdulillah, when he returned, he earned a place on the same scholarship programme.

That experience shaped his commitment to the Quran. He resolved to protect his own memorisation and help others develop the habits needed to retain theirs. Further study in Egypt deepened his learning in Quran recitation, tajweed, and memorisation, eventually leading to the founding of Idris Academy.

Today, that lesson remains at the heart of the academy: memorising the Quran is a significant achievement, and maintaining it requires consistent revision, guidance, and care.

Roadmap to Success

Phase 1

You will begin your journey with a short course that will give you a greater understanding of the mentorship and let you know how it will work and what to expect.

Phase 2

Once you understand how to navigate through your journey, you will be assigned a partner (if you don’t already have one) who will accompany you through your entire Hifdh journey. You will be reciting and testing each other daily to reach your goals. You will be part of a community whose sole focus is to memorise the Quran, enabling you to progress faster as you will be immersed in the Quran and its beauty.

Phase 3

On a weekly basis, you will have tests to ensure your progress is going well, and you will be quizzed on what you have done each week to ensure the Quran stays in your long-term memory. You will also be able to join free Zoom classes where you can listen to beautiful Quran recitations and ask questions to help you gain a deeper understanding.

Phase 4

Now that you have memorised portions of the Quran and practiced melodies, you will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon, you will have nearly accomplished the task of memorising the Holy Quran. We will now begin the next phase.

Phase 5

Alhamdulillah! You have now memorised the Holy Quran. Now, we will spend time perfecting your memorisation and tajweed, ensuring you are able to lead Taraweeh prayers and making sure the Quran will be your companion for life.

Phase 6

The most exciting phase begins now. You will be given various options on how you want to proceed with your journey. You will be guided in whatever your next venture is. Here at Idris Academy, we have had students who wanted to go to Egypt to perfect their tajweed and melody and gain an Ijaazah. So, we devised a plan and gave them access to our great network of highly qualified teachers to assist them in this journey.

Many students, after memorising the Quran, are unsure of what to do next. However, here at Idris Academy, we ensure that you will not have that feeling. We provide guidance and all our resources to make your next steps much easier.
