Ustaada Khadeejah
I am a Hafitha of the Qur’an with over five years of teaching experience, and I have had the opportunity to guide students of different ages and backgrounds in their recitation, memorisation, and understanding of the Qur’an. Alongside my Qur’an teaching, I am also a qualified ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, which has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons using a range of effective teaching methodologies.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education, which continues to enrich my teaching approach and allows me to combine traditional Qur’an learning with modern, student-centred methods. My goal is to make Qur’an study accessible, engaging, and meaningful, while helping each student build a strong and lasting personal connection with the Book of Allah.
My Mission
I have been teaching the Qur’an for several years, and it has been a meaningful way for me to maintain a strong and consistent connection with it. Teaching allows me to continuously engage with the Qur’an while supporting students in improving their recitation, Tajweed, and overall confidence.
The flexibility offered by Idris Academy has suited me well, allowing me to balance teaching alongside my academic studies. I am currently studying towards my Master’s degree, and the academy’s innovative approach to teaching aligns closely with my academic interests, particularly in researching and improving the way the Qur’an and Tajweed are taught.
I am passionate about helping students progress with clarity, accuracy, and consistency, and I strive to create a supportive and structured learning environment that encourages steady improvement.
Interests Beyond Teaching
Outside of my Qur’an teaching, I enjoy PC gaming, reading, and exploring nature in my free time.
I know how to ride a horse and previously competed in taekwondo before retiring from competitive training.
